Stay up to date with all the news from the club
We travel around a lot and here are a few of our journeys
Introducing our international contributor to all things Jaguar:
ALAN HAMES - C. Eng, MICE, MCIHT

Alan Hames (C. Eng, MICE, MCIHT) has been a member of The Jaguar Drivers Club – the largest Jaguar Club in the world, based in UK but open to members worldwide – for many years. He has served as a Director of the Main Club for 24 years and was subsequently appointed an Honorary Life Member for his services.

Alan bought a new E Type S3 Roadster in 1972, which he still owns and cherishes, and with which he has been a multiple concours winner – even after the adventures described in The Legend of AVV 1.

Alan’s contributions relate specifically to his vast experience of owning, maintaining and displaying this beautiful car – but many of the problems and challenges he has faced and overcome over the years are applicable to many other models of a similar era. You be the judge!

We also have a wealth of local Knowledge from our very own JagCentral
Contributions by Nigel Miller

JagCentral is a collection of Nigel’s Jaguar-related articles, essays and musings. Nigel is a long-term Jag enthusiast, tracing the beginnings of his “obsession” to the late 1950’s and his father’s 2½ litre Mark V. Many of these articles have been published in various magazines, including Jaguar Driver and our own Northern Jaguar.

Nigel currently owns a 1965 Mark X 4.2, a 1965 3.4 S Type, a 1966 3.8 S Type project, a 1996 XK8 coupe and a 2006 S-Type 3.0.

The Jaglog series of articles, covering the period 6th May 2015 to 1st April 2016, follows the initial restoration of Nigel’s Mark X 4.2. The Adventures series began in June 2022 and is ongoing. See PDF section releases below.
